About Michael the Archangel - who is certainly NOT Jesus

To begin with, here are the verses from the NKJV that help identify this heavenly person.  If they don't, that will have to be your problem, not mine:

So here Michael is clearly the name of the Archangel:

9  Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord* rebuke you!"    (Jude 9)

* He would have said Jehovah not Lord, for it had nothing to do with Christ the potential King of the Jews
in the royal Davidic line, Lord only to the Jews.

Michael is not one of, but THE chief prince in keeping with his work assignment and position as Archangel i.e. the highest

13  "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty–one days; and behold, Michael, one* of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.  (Daniel 10:13)  *Should read  first or foremost

In the context of an angel/messenger addressing Daniel, Michael is clearly Daniel's Prince, and by extension, Israel's:

20  Then he said, "Do you know why I have come to you? And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come.  21 "But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth. (No one upholds me against these, except Michael your prince.) (Daniel 10:20-21)

Here it becomes ever more apparent that Michael is Israel's Prince:

1  "At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation (or people), Even to that time.  And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book.  (Daniel 12:1)

Soon after Michael, antitypical Isaac, the heavenly Only-Begotten of Jehovah  stood up again, the time had come for God to express His wrath and execute vengeance upon the sons of disobedience Israel through the greatest tribulation ever to befall them:
for then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world (Strong's 2889 kosmos - Israel's world) until now, nor ever shall.  -Matthew 24:21: NAS

The Christ, Archangel Michael, Lord, Prince and King of the anointed Israel in the flesh he had been ruling now for over 1900 years as per Colossians 1:13 after all Jesus' anointing and accomplishments were conferred upon him after his death, speaks here with his own archangel's voice:

16  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

(1 Thessalonians 4:16)

Michael's time to rule amid His enemies began when he as The Christ ousted the original rebel angel and all his compatriots out of God's heavenly domain:

7  And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought,  8  but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.  9  So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.  10  Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.  11  "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.  12 ¶  "Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time." (Revelation 12:7-12)

The prince of Daniel's people Michael (Hebr. who is like God) lead them out of Egypt at the Exodus:

20  "Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.
21 "Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.  22  "But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.  23  "For My Angel will go before you and bring you in to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites and the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will cut them off.  (Exodus 23:20, 21, 23;)

He continues to lead them to their heavenly destination as the kingdom of God, even potentially dying for them in the manner of Abraham's only begotten son, only to be saved by the sheep Jesus who took their sins away.

About Michael rising in Daniel chapter 12:1

Here is the evidence from the Greek Septuagint passage of Daniel 12:1 as to what the rising or standing up of Michael is all about.

Strong's dictionary defines the Greek word used in both Daniel 12:1 and 13 of the Greek Septuagint and by Jesus in Mark 9:31:

450 anisthmi anistemi an-is'-tay-mee

from 303 and 2476; TDNT-1:368,60; v

3b) of those about to enter into conversation or dispute with anyone, or to undertake some business, or attempt something against others

3c) to rise up against any one

In the original Hebrew of Daniel 12:1, the inspired writer used 05975  `aw-mad'  for the rising up again of Jehovah's Only Begotten Son/god Michael the Archangel* from off the Altar of sacrifice, after the sheep Jesus was slaughtered, as indeed happened to Isaac after the caught sheep was slaughtered in his stead.

1 ¶  "At that time Michael <04317>* shall stand up <05975>* (8799)*, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. NKJV

In 12:13 Daniel uses the very same word 05975 `aw-mad'  to speak of his own resurrection or making erect again as in rising or standing up once more.

13  "But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise up<05975>* (8799)*  to your inheritance at the end of the days. NKJV

When Ezekiel prophetically reported on the resurrection of Israel as depicted by the parable of the dry bones coming to life again, he used exactly the same Hebrew word in chapter 37:10. 11:

10  So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood <05975>* (8799)* upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.  11  Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’

After the Archangel/Chief-messenger God's only-Begotten son Michael, now the Christ since he had inherited the anointing of Jesus for King and High Priest, was restored to life he manifested himself to Jesus' faithful disciples in the manner of all angels in the past by materializing and presenting himself in whatever persona necessary for the occasion.

What a joyful time that must have been, when their initial disappointment at Jesus' death as a criminal, turned to happiness!

Need to add little else here.
