What has been the result, the legacy bequeathed by religious Christianity?

Well, let us begin our journey with that incredible manual the Bible as the basis.

Mankind has really painted itself into a corner.

Every facet of human endeavour seems fraught with failure.   The legacy  bequeathed to mankind by theistic religion and that of science, along with politics, testifies to the abysmal evidence that Humans are unable to effectively govern themselves for their own benefit, try as they might with the best of intentions.

As the inspired Jeremiah  uttered:  O Jehovah, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. asv  (Jeremiah 10:23)

Jesus once said that wisdom is proved righteous by its works i.e. what it produces.

Just look at the works: Humanity living happily together in peace and harmony with not a want in sight?  Yes, and then some.

Never mind the technological advances that may empower us to take one step forward, while taking us two steps back into that chaos science has determined to be the mother of us all.

What solutions are offered?

Science = Star-wars, more refined killing methods, some band aid adverteasing of medical breakthroughs and better mobile/cell-phones.

Medicine = People still die at the biblical age 70-80; most sooner.  When our daughter succumbed to a brain tumour in 1967, medical adverteasing at the time had it ‘that We almost got it licked!’
In any case, the medical establishment could accomplish nothing at all without the human body's ingeniously designed inbuilt defence and repair stratagems.

Religion = The whole gamut from  wishy washy lovey dovey to arrogant global dictatorship and everything in between. Heaven?

Politics = From this other outgrowth of tribalism, a range from some very good government to corrupt tribal dictatorships.

Multiculturalism = Civil war.

The United Nations = Hopefully the removal of Christianity to finally have a measure of peace on earth.

Someone else once said, and it wasn't Groucho, that Religion is the Opium of the People.

The writer of the bible book of Revelation (Apocalypse) went one mighty step farther when he indicated that all the human blood ever spilled has to be laid to the account of Religion, especially Christianity, and their mother Tribalism.

OK. This site and its essays are not the genesis of yet another religion.

Enough already!

Now for a little conversation, unilateral though it might be at this stage.

What does the word Christianity conjure up in your mind?  Yes conjure!

In the mind of the boy that I was back in Berlin 1933-1945 it simply meant that we were Christians and it was OK to ascribe salvation to Hitler, as per the then ubiquitous greeting Heil* Hitler.  It also seemed to be quite in order for some people to wear a yellow star on their garments to distinguish themselves**  from others, as it was to fight with and hopefully destroy all the other nations about whom I was never informed that they also shared equal status in that realm of Christianity we were a part of.

*Salvation to
**I did not know they were forced to

My goodness, how did all that came about?

When it was all over I was 11 and very confused.  But this was more in hindsight from a future perspective, because I was never part of a religious family.

What I have learned since then, I have made my mission to communicate to all equally confused, if only they were aware of it, and those Christians and others who have maintained or developed a strong faith in what they were taught about God and Jesus within the thousands of Christian and other denominations and sects.

Theism and religion are antonyms.

Science and religion are synonyms.

Brothers Grimm and science have a lot in common

except that the Grimms never claimed to be telling the truth.

Religion parading as truth from God, likewise.

Science (knowledge) that works, works.  Applying pre-existing materials and laws to things and processes that benefit mankind; wonderful, but writing fiction is too Grimm a task and best left to those who know the game.

To some this site may seem as just another one where the blind lead the blind, but that view is but a blind for ignorance.  This site is all about understanding God, His purpose and the future of humanity without being religious.  It is also about getting rid of all the fear of the future, not fearing a wrath of God that only ever applied to treasonous Old Testament Israel under the Law, not having to belong to this that and other organization or religion in order to be saved and have a future.

Israel had to fear God only if they failed to heed His good advice designed to better their lives, which was not too difficult for them to comply with.

Please consult some details of their constitution in Leviticus 26.

God does not judge anyone on behaviour now.

Behaviour brings natural consequences in its train, for better or worse, as does marriage .

The apostle Paul clearly pointed the finger at consequences after the Mosaic Law including the 10 words* was abolished at the death of Israel’s final Messiah:

All things are lawful; but not all things are advantageous. All things are lawful; but not all things build up.  (1 Corinthians 10:23)

In Romans 4:15 he also said No Law - No Transgression:

Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression;

followed in 5:13 by:

For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law

and this right after that worn-out cliche of verse 12, the distorted view of which it contradicts.

So up to the giving of the Law through Moses, humans could not transgress to constitute themselves as sinners liable to God.  There was no law from God.

Since that law was only given to Israel, it never applied to any other humans, which also means it no longer applies even to Israel since the Law's abolition, let alone to Christians real or imagined.

*not commandments, because in Hebrew it just says 10 words in a summary headline intro.

Not many years after Jesus' death, the Apostle Peter acknowledged that the bride of the Christ would soon lose her collective purity and freedom and become re-enslaved and in turn be in the forefront of enslaving much of mankind:

19 While they are promising them freedom, they themselves are existing as slaves of corruption.  For whoever is overcome by another is enslaved by this one*. 20 Certainly if, after having escaped from the defilements of the world by an accurate knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they get involved again with these very things and are overcome, the final conditions have become worse for them than the first -good to read all: 2 Peter 2:17-22 .

*Yes, my former associates have indeed become slaves of the Faithful and Discreet Slave of Matthew 24:45, who could not even be remotely be considered faithful and discreet until after the fact and their taking their seats in the heavenly government as a consequence.  Whatever their complement, it is only after the re-creation (resurrection) of all the members of that group, the little flock given the Kingdom by the Christ, that they are given all the Master's belongings to look after.

The world spoken of in that above verse is the world of Israel under the law from Exodus to Messiah.  The use of the English world or the German Welt  in the Bible to translate three distinctly unique Greek words with entirely different meaning is scandalous and yet again reflects he machinations of the religious Christian guilt merchants as these apply all that was exclusive to Israel, to mankind.

The ubiquitous John 3:16 prolifically bannered every which way from coffee mugs to skywriting, prominently features that word world which they allege to apply to all humankind for whom ostensibly the Lord Jesus had sacrificially forfeited his life.  If indeed that were the case, the inspired sacrificial lamb Jesus the Nazarene son of man would have used the same word that the inspired Apostle John used in Revelation 12:9 where it applies to the whole of mankind.  As it was, he used a different and more restrictively focused word that only applied to the world or kosmos of Israel.   There is yet another Greek word translated world, which actually means age, epoch.  But more about these matters via the menu.

May this site both enlighten your mind and heart and lighten the load of guilt you may have inherited from those who meant well and loved you, but were themselves mislead.

My former religious friends along with other groups make much ado about God’s sovereignty, which, according to their doctrinal position, Christians need to uphold, defend, proclaim and faithfully submit to for longevity.

Alas, only Israel had to and miserably failed to submit to.  The rest of mankind never consciously had to, because they were never requested to do so in the first place.

Alas, aren't we all continually submissive to Jehovah’s sovereignty as we are born, breathe, eat, live and die and submit to all the physical and chemical laws of the natural world we are a submissive part of, without necessarily having to acknowledge the lawgiver.

Try to stop breathing long enough or jump of a cliff too high.  Yes we can! But only if we acknowledge the need to take preventative measures to avoid the consequences of the sovereignty of what comes naturally.  We just have to submit to the rules or be dismissed.

What about the rebel Angel who supposedly challenged the sovereignty of God in Eden?  He must have been off his head to even try.  He was!  What an idiot!  His mates likewise are equally dumb stupid Angels that have lost their way.

Just look what these morons asked for when Jesus tried to expel them:  Can we please enter into a herd of swine?  Does that not reek of a great intellectual capacity?  They don’t even know how stupid they are.  Just listen to some of the questions they asked Jesus -you can find them in the Bible.

What about their chief when God asked him about Job?  God permitted him to cause Job a great deal of grief, but set clear parameters.  What did the Devil do?  Obeyed to the letter!  No sovereignty issue here!  Second time around, expanded parameters where strictly adhered to once again.

No, the Bible was not written by Hollywood; their celluloid demons have a lot more pizzazz.

Psalm 8 clearly shows that Man was made a little lower than God, rather than what Trinitarian inspired bible producers have the Bible say.

They say a little lower than angels.  Really?  Yes, they do this to justify the use of that phrase in Hebrews

(Hebrews 2:7-8) 7 you made him a little lower than angels; with glory and honor you crowned him, and appointed him over the works of your hands. 8 All things you subjected under his feet.”. . .

Quoting from the 8th Psalm, Paul referred here to the complete humanity of the son of man, who was only a miraculously fashioned son of God of the Adam kind:  utterly human, in God's image and just a little lower than the Creator who so fashioned him.

Jesus could not do or know anything other than what he had learned from other humans and the Scriptures.  He had no miraculous powers per se.  Just like other prophets, particularly Moses and Elijah who accompanied him in the vision of the transfiguration, his powers were granted him on loan to accomplish specific tasks.  Before restoring Lazarus to life he prayed for this to be granted to him.  Quite rightly so because Jesus did it with only with power from God:

Luke 5:17   Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord* was present to heal them.

* Only the German Luther Bible fully capitalizes LORD (HERRN) in the above verse as indeed do most English translations in the OT.  All others I was able to have a look at use Lord.  Bit silly really, because that is generally used for the Lord Jesus.  Those who lord it over believers have made it quite difficult to differentiate between LORD and Lord.  It is good to see some translators of the NT use LORD when referring to OT passages where Jehovah is generally rendered LORD.

The NKJV  does that ever so well.  In Romans 10:13 it quotes from Joel 2:32: 13  For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."  On the other hand, the NAS compromises and hides that alias of that illustrious name of God by capitalizing quotations from the OT in their entirety.  Clever eh?

As an example of the different renderings of  lord here the Authorized King James version reads in the OT:

Psalm 110:1  The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

And then in Matthew 22:44 the NT quotes appropriately from Psalm 110:1:  The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

The NKJV does much the same in Matthew 22:44, but lo and behold the NAS really drops a clanger with:

What Lord to whose Lord?   The difference between the two Lords is completely lost.

Here  with a measure of clarity from the American Standard:

Psalm 110:1  Jehovah saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

One can almost feel the anxious struggle of translators as they tried to come to grips with the ambiguities that arise from trying to match text with doctrine.

The Jehovah's Witness Christians hold that the Kingdom was established in 1914.  Not true.

That false 1914  Kingdom establishment doctrine automatically infers that those of Jesus' brothers already dead have been resurrected and that those remaining on earth in responsible positions in their particular denomination already have a measure of authority to rule over a congregation that has somehow and inexplicably expanded beyond the authorized number revealed in Revelation 7:4 and 14:1.  Likewise untrue.

Between the key sentences from Revelation 6:11:  they were told to rest a little while longer, until the number was filled also of their fellow slaves and their brothers who were about to be killed as they also had been  and

1 Corinthians 15:51-52: dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we shall be changed;
(yes those of the anointed dead raised and those still alive at the same time)

and 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17:  . . .and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. 17 Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together* with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air .

* Or, “at the same time.”

there is definitely no resurrection by instalments here.  In fact, Jesus' Prophecy about the greatest tribulation ever to befall Israel both in duration and intensity, indicated what was to occur at its end:

29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send forth his angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from one extremity of the heavens to their other extremity. (Matthew 24:29-31)

Yes, gather his chosen ones who have been destined for heavenly governance right from the initial promises Jehovah made to Abraham.  They shall all be gathered at once, those already dead and those still left on earth at the time and impossible to number, but comprising a great crowd* who have also washed their robes in the lamb's blood to furnish a guarantee or right of passage into the heavenly city Jerusalem. -Revelation 7:9-17; 22:14.

* in the context of 1st century global population sizes of around 200 million, a few thousand gathered in one place are indeed a Great Crowd.

I have provided the foregoing simply to encourage my former friends to pay a little more attention to the Scriptures themselves.  As this verse suggest:

. . .But let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, even as it is written: “That you might be proved righteous in your words and might win when you are being judged.. . . (Romans 3:4).

That Judgement is solely with reference to those who came out of forgiven Israel at Pentecost 33 CE, to become the multi-ethnic, multi-gender Israel Paul spoke about in Galatians 3:28-29, who will find their permanent place on heavenly MT Zion.  Please see:

Revelation 14:1-4; Hebrews 12:22-23*; 7:4-8; 9-17; 6:9-11.
* -
the firstborn here being that of Exodus 4:22;

Why all this detail?

Because it takes a lot of detail to make a mess, it will likewise take a measure of the same to sanitize it.

OK so the Great Crowd are of the anointed, but what about the other sheep of John 10:16?

Simply put they make up the non-Jewish, non-Israelite, Gentile complement of the heavenly Kingdom's Kings and Priests.
I mean, where was Jesus when he said this?  Within and part of the fold or flock of Israel still running with the promises.
So, whoever is of the other sheep are destined to become an integral part of that very flock Jesus was a part of who were and still are destined for heavenly governance.  Please click here for more on that
other sheep subject.
