This beautiful valley of Jezreel/Megiddo will never see an end-time battle

In defence of the sidelined God Jehovah, Creator of the Universe and Father of Humanity
‑‑‑ Who Or What Are They? ‑‑‑
Well, live Humus and then, sadly, just humus!
Humans tend to phrase it: ‘This is the long and short of it’, or the very short of it.
Here, however, without the apostrophe of belonging, Humans are:
You're kidding, right? Femmes don't think of men that way EVER! . . . then again . . . ?
But first the initial layer of What we are:
The stuff we were before we again become the stuff we had been:
In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return." Genesis 3:19 NKJV
Precisely! Death simply initiates reverse-engineering. Alive, we are humus-recycling vessels, divesting live food of its stored solar energy along the way.
Same as any other living thing/organism as per the original manual:
19 For what happens to the sons of men also happens to animals; one thing befalls them: as one dies, so dies the other. Surely, they all have one breath; man has no advantage over animals, for all is vanity. 20 All go to one place: all are from the dust, and all return to dust.. ‑Ecclesiastes 3:19-20 NKJV
Ok, so we are mobile humus, like the animals. What then, if anything, sets us apart?
Albeit, what are we really below that initial layer; our modus operandi:
The most sophisticated solar-powered machine in the entire universe.
No wonder the ancients worshipped the sun as the source of all life, because, according to their own experiences, there is no life without it.
The religious among you may resent that as atheist conjecture.
But this is not about a debate on the existence of a Creator God.
No, this is about the source of all life-sustaining energy, not the creative source of all living things. The sun is just a dumb non-creating Hydrogen»Helium furnace to provide the energy to sustain already existing life.
From picking one's nose to defecating, driving a car or one's partner mad, along with sexual intercourse, it is all solar-powered, as is the invention and manufacture of solar panels and the required infrastructure for their utilisation.
Now, for the answer to Who we are:
Well, here again from the manual:
26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. –Genesis 1:26-27 NKJV
Yes, created in Jehovah's image to be like Him at the very beginning of populating the earth with diminutive Gods in the flesh at around 4025 BCE.
Having no personal agenda to be like God or harbouring the slightest figment of a yearning to that end in my heart and brain of flesh, I did not invent the above.
As an aside, it must be noted from another page of the manual that the reason murder was especially prohibited after the deluge, a first love thy neighbour law, was that generic Man had never been demoted from the state of being in the image and likeness of God approximately 1657 years after God originally bestowed that upon Adam.
But to repeat myself: Humans are Gods in the flesh to have dominion over everything they have been designed to have. This may very well include the planets in any given solar/star system but does not include their relative positioning; that is God's business.
As indicated in the verses above, dominion and attendant duties were confined to
What Jehovah had ultimately in mind for humanity, we are currently not privileged to know.
However, once we have demonstrated willing cooperation with our Maker, the sky is not the limit, for human habitation will eventually expand to other habitable planets in our universe.
But there is still that business of being Gods. How did I come to that? Inspiration?
No, we have a manual, remember?
A religious claim on the web recently moved me to take closer look at the question:
“What does the Bible mean by ‘you are gods’ in Psalm 82:6 and John 10:34?”
in order to add the Bible's take on that to my Website.
To quote but a couple of lines from that claim in: http://www.gotquestions.org/you-are-gods.html:
‘In contrast, we have the serpent’s lie to Eve in the Garden. His statement, “your
eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5),
was a half-truth. Their eyes were opened (verse 7), but they did not become like
Just another religious lie needing to be exposed.
The great deceiver* lied to Eve in layers of at least three:
* Revelation 12:9
Lie #1 the foundation: you will be like God:
The angel in question here became envious that creatures, who that angel perceived to be of both: inferior quality and habitat, should be in the image and likeness of God while he was just a conveyor of verbal and demonstrative messages - a messenger.
So he concocted the very first and most profound lie asserting that God had not created humans in His image and likeness and that eating from the tree of knowledge of good and bad would be the final act to complete Eve into God's true image and likeness.
Lie #2 promise of the ability to distinguish between good and bad: knowing good and evil:
Since they were already made in God's image and likeness, they were able to distinguish good and bad by default as well also through a measure of learning from experience*.
-evil (angry) inappropriately used in English translations to convey the wrong message*-
Lie #3 implied eternal life in the preceding verse 4: You will not surely die.
In the eyes of Christianity that was the #1 lie when the Devil (slanderer) called God a liar. As reality has it: Adam and Eve were mortal by default*, since they needed to eat and live in an environment conducive to continuing life, the words surely, definitely, certainly or positively as variously translated in the original command, simply ensured the inevitability of death should they eat from that tree.
* Jesus said in Luke 4:4: “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone.”’ indicating
that food was a prerequisite for not only listening to and obeying God, but certainly
for staying alive in the first place, for: The dead, cannot praise Yah, nor any that
go down into silence; -Psalm 115:17 - Rotherham.
* OK, Scream, but since we have actually been created in His image, so can He! .
. . learn.
No, not a look-alike - but a diminutive fleshly be-alike Him who is NOT a know-all!

Old English yfel (Kentish evel) "bad, vicious, ill, wicked," from Proto-Germanic *ubilaz (cognates: Old Saxon ubil, Old Frisian and Middle Dutch evel, Dutch euvel, Old High German ubil, German übel, Gothic ubils), from PIE *upelo-, from root *wap- (cognates: Hittite huwapp- "evil").
"In OE., as in all the other early Teut. langs., exc. Scandinavian, this word is the most comprehensive adjectival expression of disapproval, dislike or disparagement" [OED]. Evil was the word the Anglo-Saxons used where we would use bad, cruel, unskillful, defective (adj.), or harm, crime, misfortune, disease (n.).
The meaning "extreme moral wickedness" was in Old English, but did not become the main sense until 18c. Related: Evilly. Evil eye (Latin oculus malus) was Old English eage yfel. Evilchild is attested as an English surname from 13c.
Note from the above that ‘The meaning "extreme moral wickedness" was in Old English, but did not become the main sense until 18th Century’
The upshot was simply that Adam and Eve were no longer to experience the good resulting from willing submission to their God and Father and that was BAD!
To understand this and that it was all about Israel, here is some homework:
Please read Leviticus 26:1-46 and Deuteronomy 27:11-28:68
On another two questions: What is theosis? and "Are Christians 'little gods?' there is much that can and should be said and has already by many wonderful people.
However this is not about human rulers in a variety of secular and religious systems, but about the seed of Abraham, Israel, destined to become true sons of God in His heavenly realm.
But thou, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend,
Only a little flock, exclusive from out of the flock of Jacob until the end of the final, the 70th, week of Daniel's prophecy, were to be given the kingdom (Luke 12:32), thereafter to be supplemented with those from out of so-called Gentile nations familiar with the ways of and promises to Israel, including natural Israelites who were now just part of the Gentiles with no special relationship with Jehovah. The Seed of Abraham were now an amalgam of all genders and ethnicities ––Galatians 3:28-29).
We humans are the fleshly equivalent of God. Just look at the collective genius of humankind:
there is no other animal like that!
We were surely created in His image and likeness Genesis 1:26-27.
However, it is the Israel of God who had been given a special, though temporary, assignment as the seed of Abraham to become a blessing to all the families of the earth, in the first instance at the Exodus and subsequently as anointed Israel as they were selected and given the Holy Spirit as the earnest or token of their future sonship.
Their collective destiny as the seed of Abraham and their identity was well on the way at the Exodus when Jehovah asked Aaron and Moses to tell Pharaoh to let His firstborn son Israel go (Exodus 4:22) and more specifically when He covenanted the first Kingdom Covenant with that firstborn son, a Testament of inheritance which would, if they were do all God ask of them, allow them to become a kingdom of priests and a holy nation -Exodus 19:5-6.
That was not part of the Law Covenant of house rules Israel agreed to conform to for pleasant cohabitation with God, for that was covenanted with them separately in Exodus 24 in consequence of the earlier agreement of Exodus 19:3-8. That was also terminated separately with reference to Israel's role as wife at God's behest by Babylon, while the inherent promises to the firstborn son embedded in the earlier one were put on hold until Messiah, who died for them or in their stead for the promises to become a blessing to humanity to be redeemed and continue.
It is they who constitute the little flock to be given the Kingdom (Luke 12:32) to fulfill their assigned role of a kingdom of priests and a holy nation confirmed by the Apostle to the Jews/Israelites Peter here in 1 Peter 2:9-10: But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. AV
It is Israel who had obtained mercy, for they were the only ones who needed mercy, since they had ceased to be a people with any value to God due to their wanton transgressions of their Law Covenant, deserving death in consequence as a people and, more significantly, as God's Firstborn Son -Exodus 4:22.
Humanity did not need mercy, because they were never in a contractual relationship with God they could break; only Israel was.
The lamb Jesus alone could save God's only begotten heavenly son who was offered to die in place of the Seed of Abraham Israel; all as prefigured by that most prophetic and profound of all sacrifices ever made, when Abraham, as the figure of God, offered up His only-begotten son Isaac, as the figure of God's heavenly only-begotten son, but saved by the sheep in the thicket, as the figure of the lamb and son of man Jesus who was fathered directly by God, as was the first Adam, and thus Jesus became the first of a separate human race: The last Adam. -link
It is on the basis of becoming true and complete sons as Jehovah's very own actual family of sons of the God kind of which the heavenly only-begotten angelic Christ was the forerunner with all them yet awaiting their collective rebirth as Gods, and of the same kind and with the same power as God, that these two verses: Psalm 82:6 and John 10:34 come into their own, by describing the true identity of these sons of God as part of the God family of Gods, while it is imperative to recognize that the Psalms belong to Israel's identity literature.
In John, Jesus in his role as prophet, states that his disciples along with God's only-begotten, will have life in themselves to pass on to others, as only God ever had before.
In connection with the resurrection of his brothers Jesus said For just as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted also to the Son to have life in himself. -John 5:26.
They also will have life in themselves:
Jesus therefore said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the
flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. -John 6:53,
This having life in themselves is not referring to the immortality ultimately bestowed upon them by Jehovah, but more profoundly also to their ability to pass on life directly to other creatures rather than just through them in the manner of the only begotten archangel son during the creation-of-all-things- period
-see -Colossians 1:12-19 where the context demands through or via but NOT literally
him as the initiator, but nonetheless in a sense of running it by or instrumentally through him.
After first restored to life themselves by the first creature ever granted to have
life in himself: their heavenly Christ forerunner, they will not only be true brothers
of the heavenly only-begotten and members of the heavenly family of God's true sons,
endowed with the same powers and abilities, while still subject to Jehovah their
Creator and omnipotent Father, they will be imparting life directly*, not as intermediaries,
to all humans at the resurrection.

2 Corinthians 5:17-19 Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation;
the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 And all
things are from God, who reconciled us to himself by Christ, and gave to us the ministry
of reconciliation; 19 seeing that in Christ God was reconciling the world* to himself,
not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Please note that one can only be re-conciled relative to a previous state of conciliation or contractual relationship. For more detail please click here.
Humanity were never party to such a contract with Jehovah, their Creator.
God's firstborn son and wife Israel, however, were* indeed in 2 contractual relationships needing reconciliation: 1. a last will and testament and 2. a marriage contract; both severed*
* The people Israel were a plural singularity, whatever the special relationship with their Father and husband.

mid-14c., from Old French reconciliacion (14c.) and directly from Latin reconciliationem (nominative reconciliatio) "a re-establishing, a reconciling," noun of action from past participle stem of reconciliare (see ).
mid-14c., of persons, from Old French reconcilier (12c.) and directly from Latin reconcilare "to bring together again; regain; win over again, conciliate," from re- "again" (see ) + concilare "make friendly" (see ). Reflexive sense is recorded from 1530s. Meaning "to make (discordant facts or statements) consistent" is from late 14c. Intransitive sense of "become reconciled" is from 1660s. Related: Reconciled; reconciling.
Yes, to bring together again into a previous contractual relationship, like marriage or a last will and testament contract of inheritance.
Written some 63 years after Jesus' death, John stated that the little flock of Christians, Christ's Bride of those anointed for heavenly governance, will share the same glory and privileges as their bridegroom Christ, who laid the foundation and paved the way.
1 John 3:2-3 Beloved ones, now we are children of God, but as yet it has not been made manifest what we shall be. We do know that whenever he is made manifest we shall be like him, because we shall see him just as he is. 3 And everyone who has this hope set upon him purifies himself just as that one is pure.
So in the fullest sense then shall all those comprising the Bride of Christ, the little flock of true sons of God anointed for heavenly governance, be Gods.
John 10:34 Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, "You are gods"’?
Who are the them here whom he was answering? The Jews surrounding and questioning him; the circumstantial context of the interchange in verse 24: Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, "How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly." NKJV
The Psalm John quoted from was addressed not just to the upper echelon of kings and priests of their local administration back there in Jerusalem, but to the whole nation of God's firstborn son Israel who were to produce the final selection of Gods comprising the Seed of Abraham destined to become a blessing to all humans past, present and future.
To whom was I said, Ye are gods, And all of you sons of the Most High. addressed?
To all Israel, not just their rulers:
8 ¶ Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wouldest hearken unto me!
9 There shall no strange god be in thee; Neither shalt thou worship any foreign god.
10 I am Jehovah thy God, Who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11 But my people hearkened not to my voice; And Israel would none of me.
12 So I let them go after the stubbornness of their heart, That they might walk in their own counsels.
13 Oh that my people would hearken unto me, That Israel would walk in my ways!
14 I would soon subdue their enemies, And turn my hand against their adversaries.
15 The haters of Jehovah should submit themselves unto him: But their time should endure for ever.
16 He would feed them also with the finest of the wheat; And with honey out of the rock would I satisfy thee.
1 ¶ A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of God; He judgeth among the gods.
2 How long will ye judge unjustly, And respect the persons of the wicked? [[Selah
3 Judge the poor and fatherless: Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.
4 Rescue the poor and needy: Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 They know not, neither do they understand; They walk to and fro in darkness: All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 ¶ I said, Ye are gods, And all of you sons of the Most High.
7 Nevertheless ye shall die like men, And fall like one of the princes.
Does that answer the Question:
“What does the Bible mean by ‘you are gods’ in Psalm 82:6 and John 10:34?” ?
I hope so.

Please keep meandering intently through this site.
