In defence of the sidelined God Jehovah, Creator of the Universe and Father of Humanity
—–– Flock / Drove —––
The Christ was to shepherd Israel, no one else. (Matthew 2:6) 6 ‘And you, O Beth´le·hem of the land of Judah, are by no means the most insignificant [city] among the governors of Judah; for out of you will come forth a governing one, who will shepherd my people, Israel.’. . .
Jesus own words declare his complete agreement and compliance with this God-given assignment: (Matthew 15:24) 24 In answer he said: “I was not sent forth to any but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” reflected even by his command to the disciples: (Matthew 10:6) but, instead, go continually to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
(Luke 19:10) 10 For the Son of man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
(Isaiah 53:6) 6 Like sheep we have all of us wandered about; it was each one to his own way that we have turned; and Jehovah himself has caused the error of us all to meet up with that one.. . .
Thus Jesus has been sent to gather those lost sheep. In order to accomplish this, he needs to separate them from the goats and the self-righteous fat sheep.
(Ezekiel 34:16-17) 16 “The lost one I shall search for, and the dispersed one I shall bring back, and the broken one I shall bandage and the ailing one I shall strengthen, but the fat one and the strong one I shall annihilate. I shall feed that one with judgment.” 17 “‘And as for you my sheep, this is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: “Here I am judging between a sheep and a sheep, between the rams and the he-goats. xref
xref (Matthew 25:32-34) 32 And all the nations (people) will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will put the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left. 34 “Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who have been blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world.. . .
‑These words of the prophecy here at Matthew 25:32-34 have nothing whatever to do with any alleged earth-bound survivors of the end of Satan's system as some claim. They apply solely to judging Israel who were first in line for heavenly governance and everlasting life/immortality those claiming to be of the heaven-bound anointed during this time of the end of their age and human self-rule. This process is continuing even now and will go on until the very commencement of the Heavenly Kingdom's rule at the start of the 1000 years, when all of anointed Israel, dead and still alive on earth at that time, will be changed and raised together to meet the Lord in the air‑ see here
This is further reflected in (Luke 21:28) 28 But as these things start to occur, raise yourselves erect and lift your heads up, because your deliverance is getting near.. . . where deliverance is once again exclusively and specific for the heaven-bound anointed, for that is the release by ransom meaning of the Greek, which is Israel specific, as is Jesus' sacrificial death as their Passover Lamb, whether the JWs like to acknowledge that or not. Hebrews 9:15; Isaiah 53:5; John 11:49-53.
See Olive Tree above for more detail as to what comprises Israel
The nation, the people Israel, Jehovah's precious inheritance had to die in consequence of their persistent sinning:
(Ezekiel 33:10-11) 10 “Now as regards you, O son of man, say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus you people have said: “Because our revolts and our sins are upon us and in them we are rotting away, how, then, shall we keep living?”’ 11 Say to them, ‘“As I am alive,” is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, “I take delight, not in the death of the wicked one, but in that someone wicked turns back from his way and actually keeps living. Turn back, turn back from your bad ways, for why is it that you should die, O house of Israel?”’
The entire chapter Ezekiel 34 draws on that synonym for Israel: Flock, the sheep of His pasturage (verse 31; Psalm 95:7). you will need to actually read it!
Jesus spoke extensively about his role as the good shepherd. He pointed out that
Jehovah's flock Israel had now been entrusted to him. During his extended prayer
to Jehovah in John 17 verse 6 he stated that:
They were yours, and you gave them to me.
Yes Israel was and continues to be the flock of the shepherd and overseer of their souls Jehovah (1 Peter 2:25). By accepting their ransomer, His sheep had now returned to Jehovah the shepherd and overseer of their souls, who in turn has entrusted them or gave them to the loving care of the Chief Shepherd Christ to lead and shepherd those who remain faithful to the unfadable crown of glory. (1 Peter 5:4)
Same Flock. Same Israel. Different shepherds.
