Wife of Jehovah and Bride of Christ.

The idea of Israel being the Bride of Christ will be foreign, if not offensive to Judeo-Christianity.

Well, Judaism seems to be OK with their Israel is God's wife forever idea whatever the hiccups, while the Christian Israel of God*, Christianity, runs contentedly with being the Bride of Israel's Messiah-Christ-Anointed Jesus.   Confusing?  Yeah, and then some!
* Galatians 6:16.

There were no people Israel before Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  ;-)

You OK with that?

The presence of a people Israel, in all of universal time and space were NEVER Jehovah's purpose.

It was the failure of Adam to yield to and cooperate with God, that triggered the contingency which ultimately involved the temporary people Israel.  Jehovah created Israel* almost on a whim which could have gone either way, because it was very much a pot-luck affair on the basis of faith that anyone could have displayed, but finally focused on one man's incredible faith in the promises of God: Abraham.
* Isaiah 43:1,15.

The allegedly all-knowing Creator Jehovah only knew and understood the depth of Abraham's faith after he had put the knife to his son's throat:

11 And the angel of Jehovah called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here I am.  12 And he said, Lay not thy hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him; for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me. . . .

. . . 15 And the angel of Jehovah called unto Abraham a second time out of heaven,  16 and said, By myself have I sworn, saith Jehovah, because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son,  17 that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;  18 and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed*; because thou hast obeyed my voice.  Genesis 22:11-18 - ASV

* or rather ‘bless themselves’ through acceptance in word and deed
   - according to the Hebrew hithpael verb form
* and rendered accordingly in NWT, Darby Bible Translation, NET Bible, Young's Literal Translation,

  the basis  as the temporary means to

realm of thought.  aism associated with offend many, it is firmly rooted in the documented history of  the people Israel
