This beautiful valley of Jezreel/Megiddo will never see an end-time battle
Last site edit: September 21 2017
In defence of the sidelined God Jehovah, Creator of the Universe and Father of Humanity
(Har–Ma·ged´on) [from Heb., meaning “Mountain of Megiddo”].
Don't the fear/guilt-merchants of Christianity just love that place.
Christianity has invented a number of scenarios, most of which fall into this category:
At the end of the age, in biblical prophecy, the valley of Megiddo, now known as the valley of Jezreel, will serve as the gathering place for an immense army which will engage the returning Messiah, Jesus Christ, and his supernatural army in the Day of the Lord (Revelation 1:10; 16:12-16; 19:19; I Thessalonians 5:2; Joel 1:15; 2:11, 2:31).
The JWs have quite correctly defined it as not a literal geographical location:
This name is directly associated with “the war of the great day of God the Almighty.” The term applies specifically to the condition, or situation, to which “the kings of the entire inhabited earth” are gathered in opposition to Jehovah and his Kingdom by Jesus Christ. In a number of versions it is rendered “Armageddon.” (Re 16:14, 16, AT; KJ; JB; RS; TEV) The name Har–Magedon, taken from Hebrew, means simply “Mountain of Megiddo.”
'. . . The Revelation account depicts the combined forces of the kings of the earth
as being gathered “to the place [Gr., form of to´pos] that is called in Hebrew Har–Magedon.”
(Revelation 16:16) In the Bible to´pos may refer to a literal location (Mt 14:13,
15, 35); to one’s opportunity, or “chance” (Ac 25:16); or to a figurative realm,
condition, or situation (Revelation 12:6, 14). In view of the context, it is to a
“place” in the last-mentioned sense that earth’s combined military powers are marching.'
Insight on the Scriptures Volume 1 p 1037
They understand it to be an earthly situation rather than a literal place on earth.
Identifying the Kings of the inhabited earth -Strong's 3625- and its proximity to Messianic Jerusalem may perhaps throw significant light on the Armageddon reality.
Here to quote from Revelation 16:14 to identify the participants of the battle which verse 16 defines to occur at a place called Armageddon:
For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings <935> of the earth and of the whole world <3625 oikoumenh oikoumene >, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. NKJV
This is the same inhabited earth or world their ruler/king tempted Jesus with:
5 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms
of the world <3625 oikoumenh oikoumene > in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said to Him, "All this authority I will give you, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. NKJV
The Kings on the earth, the human variety, have no case to answer for them to be gathered to some Armageddon war. Although they rule legitimately they do so without direct guidance from God and without proper global perspectives and comprehension of the consequences of their actions.
The Mosaic law was not binding on them, for it was only given to the people God actually
founded as a nation, as their constitution. Having thus no law from God to transgress,
they could not be judged by it nor by Jehovah its Author. In the words of the apostle
Paul: because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no
(Romans 4:15) NKJV
But it is highly likely, given the definition of The Greek Strong's # 935:
935 basileuv basileus bas-il-yooce'

1) leader of the people, prince, commander, lord of the land, king
that these earthly human leaders, kings and rulers will strongly object to having the power over their people taken away from them.
Pride of place and station will scarcely yield to the new Government by God, so that very bad things are sure to happen between that heavenly announcement of Matthew 24:29 and the full complement of the 144000 finally seated on their thrones begin their rule at the birth of the Kingdom, when these earthly human kings, along with perhaps a great number of others, may literally fight to the death to preserve their status quo.
The kings of the whole inhabited earth of Rev 14:16 are angels who joined Satan in his rebellion before the deluge.
These were not necessarily all whom Jehovah may have progressively assigned to assist the covering Cherub in his administration of human society as their numbers increased. That Cherub who later became Satan, could initially manage that all by himself.
It is very revealing how the inspired prophets used Strong's 08269 sar to identify the supervising demon angels of Greece and Persia as well as Michael -Daniel 10:13, 20 AND the prince of princes Daniel 8:11, prince of the host Daniel 8:25 and his other and more familiar designation Prince of Peace Isaiah 9:6 as well as in Daniel 12:1 in connection with the Great Tribulation to come upon Daniel's people Israel:
"Now at that time Michael, the great prince <08269> who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. NKJV
The archangel or chief messenger Michael is seen here as continuing his role of looking after the flock of Jacob Israel, as he had already been doing from the first Exodus:
20 ¶ "Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. 21 "Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him. Exodus 23:20-21 NKJV
Is it just JW dream time to identify the Archangel Michael with the Heavenly Christ?
That's up to you readers, but not without considering:
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"
Revelation 12:7-9 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with
the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 And prevailed not; neither
was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
The latter being the very first act of the Christ after enthronement as verse 10 indicates:
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. (Revelation 12:7-10)
Some words of Wisdom here:
Just because these demon angels may be kings of the inhabited earth due to their having been assigned by the chief rebel angel Satan (Hebr. resister) to fiddle with national governments as best their stupid mind can conceive, that does not mean in any shape or form that Governments around the earth are potentially, virtually or actually demonised, as many ‘Christian’ sects assert.
Completely disgusting and unscriptural for two reasons:
1. God not only allowed governments to exist, but he was instrumental in doing so through His only-begotten created heavenly angelic son* Michael.
* he is neither male or female in the manner of all spirit (I wish there was a better
more palatable word) beings.
see Luke 20:34-36 & Galatians 3:28-29
God provided for these authorities to exist through, via and by (means of) that son.
Though Paul used two different Greek words in these important verses, they convey the same meaning.
I have also listed the verses from the German 1912 Luther translation to indicate where through is used consistently in all these verses. Never does this and other German translations suggest that the son was the Creator himself and not the instrument God was using.

* through in all instances of either Greek words
One can travel by train, enter a room by a door or get there by plane.
An item made by a manufacturer, marketed by a wholesaler, distributed by a distributor and finally sold by a retailer illustrates the ambiguity of by.
Though through, via and by can all be perfect synonyms, one size does not fit all as flying or driving accidentally right through a train may illustrate, where the use of by would not suffice by any means.
Here from Strong's bible dictionary,
here it needs to be noted again that the usage in the Authorized King James Version do not actually define the words. They do no more than indicate how they were used within the broad doctrinal mind-set of a Christianity that had profoundly lost its way.

2. Romans 13 makes it absolutely clear that Christians were to obey secular governments because they were provided by God to regulate human behaviour and interaction to benefit not only the citizenry, but especially the anointed little flock in their efforts to live peaceful missionary lives.
Armageddon in the Middle East or Where?
Armageddon will be the removal of the angelic administration originally entrusted to care for humanity during creative day #7, the day of God's creative absence - His exclusively earth-related rest day.
(2 Peter 2:4) Certainly if God did not hold back from punishing the angels that sinned, but, by throwing them into Tar´ta·rus, delivered them to pits of dense darkness to be reserved for judgment;
(Jude 6) And the angels that did not keep their original position but forsook their own proper dwelling place he has reserved with eternal bonds under dense darkness for the judgment of the great day.. . .
It will not be fought on earth anywhere and especially not in that valley depicted in the header above, but rather in its antitypical reality within the environs of the city of God in heaven, while keeping in mind that there are no literal equivalents, no cattle, mountains or valleys in heaven, wherever and whatever that is. These are matters as much beyond our comprehension as are matters human to the mind of an ant.
The heavenly precinct of that battle here from Hebrews chapter 12 NAS:
22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels,
23 to the general assembly and church* of the first-born* who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, 24 and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.
* congregation or assembly
* Exodus 4:22
Let's look at the meaning of the word: “Mountain of Megiddo” which overlooks the valley of Jezreel/Megiddo on which that end-time battle to end all battles is going to be fought, according to the end-time fear-merchants of Christianity.
First a little background on heavenly geology, a rather useless term since Geo- refers to earth, whereas Ouranology or more specifically uranology does the same thing heavenly, either universally or administratively, while no one gives credence to a higher authority capable of so doing or even existing. Dictionaries have it that URANOLOGY is the study of the heavens, the universe, astronomy.
The biblical take on that is rather more profound, though comprehension is limited as humans currently are through lack of information and inability to perceive what is currently unknowable: Everything about the world and age* of Jehovah's people Israel has its heavenly antitype on which it was patterned.
Well, the antitype is actually the pre-existing type of the earthly structures which act as rather inadequate types of the heavenly virtual originals which are incomprehensible to humans.
Geology, Structures and Administration find their virtual reality in heaven. From temple to flocks, from pasture to city life from geological names to a life of happy satisfaction, all are types that mirror the heavenly realities for those privileged to live and work as part of God's heavenly family.
* Strong's #s 2889 and 165 respectively.
Since this valley is situated in the broader environs north of literal Jerusalem
on planet earth, that valley has experienced a dramatic shift from real geography
(earth-drawing/scribing) into the equally broad but non-geographical northern environs
of heavenly Jerusalem
(Hebrews 12:22-23), a real enough city, but unreal in an earthly sense.
The battle of Armageddon will be fought in the heavenly realm when all the wayward angelic kings of the earth will be gathered and immobilized during the 1000-year reign of the heavenly Kingdom of God.
While the Valley (or mount) of Megiddo is a very literal place in the Middle East, in Revelation it is but of a higher, heavenly dimension and has little to do with humanity in general, although they'll be affected.
There are many other meaningful dots that should be connected with the alleged prophetic
literalness of that place starting with the "mountain of your inheritance" of Exodus
15:16b-18 via all the promises of abundant flocks on the hills of Israel and plenty
of produce that were never fulfilled for the returning exiles at Babylon's defeat
and then there is Jesus wanting to drink wine with his disciples in the many rooms
in the abode up there in the heavenly kingdom and all the way to tent of God with
mankind (Gr. men), there being no pain and death until the last dot of those gaining
entry into the holy City by its gates Revelation 22:14: 14 Blessed are those who
wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter
by the gates into the city.
–the city here being Heavenly (Strong's 3770 ouraniov ouranios) Jerusalem.
Jehovah used earthly allegory to enable the Israelite readers to understand the blessings that awaited them in the Kingdom, even as Jesus did in his parables. They could not possibly understand heavenly things in any other way, because humans are systemically unable to:
1 Corinthians 2:9-10: "Eye has not seen and ear has not heard, neither have there been conceived in the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those who love him." 10 For it is to us God has revealed them through his spirit, for the spirit searches into all things, even the deep things of God.
Thus Revelation uses expressions we can understand to show and explain matters we can't nor imagine.
Jesus did likewise in his use of parables. Daniel could not understand either nor can mankind all there is.
The same principles must necessarily also apply to Armageddon, where all happens not on earth, but in the invisible realm when the Christ and his angels defeat Satan and his angel followers and lock them up for a 1000 years.
Though the Witnesses have got that right to a point, they extend the battle ground also to the earth, yet not confining it to the literal Megiddo valley, as do almost all other Christian sects, but rather terming it a condition.
When Matthew 24:29-31 are fulfilled, all of those who have fallen under the religious spells of the rebel angel or messenger along with their supporters and others who have not decided to go with the kingdom of God for a whole host of reasons after the question is put and sufficient time given to make an informed decision, are now without their gods, floundering and perhaps even slaughtering one another, as did the Midians -Joshua 7:22.
How that will play out in reality we are not told, but seem assured of protection if we have opted to be governed by the heavenly Kingdom without, I might add, belonging to any religion or related mindset.
As an adjunct to better collective understanding, all the dots need to be found and connected linearly from the above verses of Exodus 15 all the way to Revelation 22.
This site will attempt to provide the dots
for you to connect amid suggestions how to.
