The Seed of Abraham - Who or what?

First a little about Abraham, which will not interest anyone who neither accepts the existence of a first cause Creator, who incidentally does away with the puzzling Chicken-Egg conundrum having created  two chickens to begin with to complement each other, and the manual for Israel as a trust to convey to the rest of us.

How did Abraham come to be near the promised land and what happened there?

Quick synopsis:

Genesis 11:30-12:3 ASV:

30  And Sarai was barren; she had no child.

31  And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter–in–law, his son Abram’s wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

32  And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran.

1  Now Jehovah said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country*, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto the land that I will show thee:

2  and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing:

3   and I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse: and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

* Where they had settled after coming to Haran from Ur.  Haran and its environs were the environs whence they had originally migrated to Ur.  This was all part of the continuing spread and scattering of the progeny of the eight deluge survivors.

Ur wasn't much of the place that it ultimately became with Terah, who was born only 221 years after the deluge/flood, likely among its founding fathers or at least one of the earliest to settle there.

One must realize that there were only some 237 million on earth in 600 CE, aside from Hollywood propaganda.

So the city of Ur was no more than many of the few villages or settlements at that time, which may have grown into the prosperous town it ultimately became much later.

In those early post-diluvian days people still lived longer until the positive after effects from the low incidence of pre-deluge cosmic radiation had diminished in future generations. Many started having families much later in life while none seemed to have had large families.

OK now, the Witnesses especially claim that Abraham received the call from Jehovah while he was in Ur, as do almost all others.  One witness elder was so adamant of that assertion, he almost shouted at me when I insisted that the evidence from Genesis says otherwise.

So, most of these dear people seem to disregard this Genesis foundation document in favour of Stephen's synopsis of Israel's journey to his time in history.

OK, so all scripture is inspired, albeit only the report of past events is.  Part of that report is what all the participants have spoken in such events.  They were not inspired.  It is what the individuals actually said, untarnished.

Like Stephen's report under duress from Acts 7:

1 And the high priest said, Tell me then if you thus hold these things?   2 And he said, Men, brothers, and fathers, listen! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, being in Mesopotamia* before he lived in Haran,   3 and said to him, "Go out from your land and from your kindred," "and come into a land which I will show to you."  Gen. 12:1   4 Then going out from the land of the Chaldeans, he lived in Haran. And after his father died, God moved him from there into this land in which you now live.
* Haran was located in Mesopotamia.

I have this thing about Christianity who have failed humanity miserably, as have all religion.

Christianity love Jesus, or so the impression has it.

But that is pointless for he is dead.  They actually worship the dead as they worship Jesus, who is forever dead in the manner of all sacrifices.

Before you scream  Blasphemy!  Take note of Abraham's potential sacrifice of Isaac the only begotten of Abraham, which was the pre-enactment of the sacrifice of God’s Only-Begotten Son of John 3:16.

No!  Not Jesus, because Jesus was the sheep of the reality foreshadowed by the sheep of the Abraham drama.

OK?  Got it?

The manual, the Bible actually needs to be read rather than simply being a research vehicle into the mind and languages of aged Hebrew and Greek cultures and as a doctrinal fishpond.

In the pre-enactment there were three characters:

Father Abraham, his only begotten son Isaac and the sheep provided by God.

In the fulfillment of this prophetic pre-enactment there were also three characters:

Jehovah the father, His only begotten heavenly son and the sheep Jesus provided by God.

Yes, that was the mystery or sacred Secret frequently mentioned in the new Testament.

Testament?  Yes, because for the old and the new, Testament is the only valid description, since someone had to inherit in both instances.   To do that someone had to die, right?  Yes, perfectly.

When all else fails, read the manual, so computerese has it.  Oh yes, Christianity delve into the dark, forbidden innards of the Manual alright,  but find little solace, smitten as they are with their own opinions, since they, for the most part, have removed the Creator and  the idea that perhaps He was the ultimate author of that manual generally referred to as the Bible.

It may be a good idea to have a look at what that manual has to say about Christianity and its Jewish foundation in order to get a proper grip on the religious unrealities proffered as remedies,

An overview of Abraham's family which should have included a sheep if the alleged fulfilment were to be any guide:

Abraham’s Family

Genesis 11,16,18,24,29,30,40,41

What, no Sheep?

Well, if there was no sheep among Abraham's offspring as part of his family, later slaughtered to save Isaac's life, then there was neither a sheep by the name of Jesus, as part of Jehovah's heavenly family, for Him to send down to save mankind not in need of salvation.

The following are the verses that identify the Seed of Abraham and place it in the setting of the consistent theme of Israel's redemption:

Seed of Abraham:
(2 Chronicles 20:5-7) (Psalm 105:6-7) (Isaiah 41:8-10) (Jeremiah 33:14-26) (Romans 11:1-6)

Abraham’s Seed:
(Romans 9:6-7) (2 Corinthians 11:22-27) (Galatians 3:26-29) (Hebrews 2:14-18)

Mystery solved.  Since Israel died in him, those who choose to avail themselves of that redemption or releasing by ransom (frequent ransom-related Greek verbs), i.e. the many who accepted that by putting their complete faith in him who thus released them, need to remain in him to retain the holy spirit as their individual token of that yet future releasing and sonship until they die.

Those of the little flock out of forgiven Israel having the faith of Abraham that Israel under the law had failed to manifest, now joined by Gentiles to make up the numbers (starting from the conversion of Cornelius) who also demonstrate the faith of Abraham,  (Luke 12:32 a must read) still alive at the time of the culmination of Jesus' end-time prophecy, will at that time experience that releasing through the ransom or redemption price paid and attain to heavenly governance:

This is the same Greek noun used by Paul in Hebrews 9:15 where he shows that Jesus only died with reference to those under the Law covenant mediated through Moses:

15   And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.. AV

Same applies to Galatians 4:4:

Now we shall peer at how the Seed of David will judge* and rule over the Seed of Abraham – the tribe of Jacob, Israel*.

28 Jesus said to them: “Truly I say to you, In the re-creation, when the Son of man sits down upon his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also yourselves sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Matthew 19:28)  NWT

28 “However, you are the ones that have stuck with me in my trials; 29 and I make a covenant with you, just as my Father has made a covenant with me, for a kingdom, 30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones to judge the twelve tribes of Israel. (Luke 22:28-30)  NWT

Matthew 19:28  And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that ye who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.  ASV

Luke 22:28-30  But ye are they that have continued with me in my temptations;  29  and I appoint unto you a kingdom, even as my Father appointed unto me,  30  that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and ye shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.  ASV

1 Corinthians 6:2-3  Or know ye not that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?  3  Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more, things that pertain to this life?  ASV

Jeremiah 33:17-26  For thus saith Jehovah: David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;  18  neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt–offerings, and to burn meal–offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.  19  And the word of Jehovah came unto Jeremiah, saying,  20  Thus saith Jehovah: If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season;  21  then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.  22  As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.  23  And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying,  24  Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which Jehovah did choose, he hath cast them off? thus do they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.  25  Thus saith Jehovah: If my covenant of day and night stand not, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;  26  then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel: for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them.  ASV

*Bottom line:

Those in governance as the heavenly kingdom will judge the whole tribe of Jacob, Israel, along with everyone else, Jew and Gentile alike, by what they do after they are resurrected during the kingdom of the 1000 years and not what they did before.

* Note: Once forgiven, the Israel of the Seed of Abraham are no longer Sons of Israel when they are resurrected/born again into Jehovah's heavenly realm, because, like the Christ, they are now true Sons of God, literally of God's substance and kind and thus of Jehovah's family.  Acts 13:32-33; Romans 1:4.

Revelation's use of Israel tribal names are to substantiate fulfilment of all God's promises.

Same goes for the use of the name Jesus in Revelation, because:  20 For no matter how many the promises of God are, they have become Yes by means of him..
 . .
(2 Corinthians 1:19-20)

Jesus is not in heaven, never has been nor ever shall be.  His legacy, what he has accomplished, however, shall forever live on, for without his love for and obedience to his heavenly father neither would Abraham's seed Israel have been redeemed nor mankind given another opportunity for indefinitely lasting life on earth handed to, but refused by Adam.

End of doc.  So please continue to meander through the site.
